The Irish-Thai Chamber of Commerce (ITCC) was pleased to participate in the JFCCT Prime Minister’s Address Luncheon 2026, held on 12 June 2026 at The Athenee Hotel Bangkok.
Representing ITCC at the event was Paul Scales, Vice President of ITCC, joined by Shane Rice, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Ireland in Thailand, and ITCC members representing a diverse range of business sectors and industries.
Hosted by the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Thailand (JFCCT), the luncheon brought together more than 400 business leaders, investors, diplomats, and representatives of the international business community under the theme:
“Thailand 2026: A Vision for Competitiveness, Investment, and a Future-Ready Economy – From Uncertainty to Confidence: Reform and Resilience in Business.”
In his keynote address, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul outlined the Government’s commitment to strengthening investor confidence and enhancing Thailand’s competitiveness through regulatory reform, streamlined processes, digital transformation, and a more business-friendly environment. He also highlighted Thailand’s ambitions to attract investment in strategic growth sectors, including artificial intelligence, semiconductors, advanced technologies, clean energy, and other future industries.
The Prime Minister further emphasised the importance of public-private collaboration, infrastructure development, workforce upskilling, sustainability initiatives, and innovation as key drivers of Thailand’s long-term economic growth and competitiveness.
The luncheon provided valuable insights into Thailand’s economic priorities and future direction, while offering an excellent platform for dialogue between the Government and the international business community.
ITCC remains committed to supporting stronger trade, investment, and business ties between Ireland and Thailand and looks forward to continued engagement with stakeholders across both countries.
